The Breakthrough to Nursing (BTN) Project bi-monthly award is to encourage students to participate in service projects in their school, state and in the community. These awards are in addition to the traditional BTN Awards presented at the Annual Convention. The BTN Committee goal is to increase BTN involvement as well as to increase social media to promote BTN.
Bi-monthly awards are from September 2025 to March 2026 in the amount of $100 each will be made to the winning school or state chapter. Please provide a proposal, project or EBP essay. You may submit a photo and social media project addressing the following themes:

September/October - "Championing Diversity: Breakthrough Initiatives in Nursing Education"

This theme honors the transformative experience of nursing students as they advance through their education and training. It stresses critical advancements in curriculum development, mentorship initiatives, and the integration of technology that empower future nurses. By providing essential thinking skills and practical experiences, this initiative readies nurses to tackle the continuously changing challenges of the healthcare environment, ensuring they can deliver exemplary care with assurance and expertise.

January - "Breaking Barriers: Innovations Shaping the Future of Nursing"
Concentrating on new trends and tech advancements, this theme highlights innovations that are breaking down conventional barriers in nursing practice. It includes discussions on telehealth, data analysis, and simulation education, which are transforming how nurses manage patient care and engage with interdisciplinary teams. The objective is to motivate nursing professionals to welcome innovation and take the lead in creating new care models that enhance patient results.
