  •  2026 Resolutions Submission Form

    Deadline: January 15, 2026, at

    5:00 pm Eastern Time

  • We are delighted that you are submitting a Resolution to the 2026 NSNA House of Delegates at the 74th Annual Convention, April 8 - 11, 2026.

Official school chapters and state associations may submit one resolution. Individuals may not submit resolutions. Only authorized NSNA members may submit a resolution on behalf of their school or state association. The NSNA Board of Directors and NSNA Committees may also submit one resolution.

The deadline is 5:00 pm Eastern Time on January 15, 2026.*

*State associations that have state conventions after the cutoff date and plan to submit a resolution that was passed at their state association, please note the following important rules:

    1. The state association convention occurred (or will occur) after January 15, 2026.

    2. The state association representative (i.e., president) must notify NSNA of its convention date and intent to submit a resolution (send an email to nsna@nsna.org att: Resolutions Chair). State representatives must notify NSNA of their intent to submit a resolution prior to the state's resolution submission deadline.

    3. The state association has 2 weeks from the closing date of the state convention to submit the resolution. The deadline and rules are firm, so please follow them closely.

  • Before completing this submission form, resolution authors must review the NSNA Guidelines for Planning Resolutions. All resolutions must follow the policies and procedures in the Guidelines. Incomplete resolutions will not be accepted.

  •  NSNA prohibits the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools, such as text generators, paraphrasers, summarizers, or translators, in the preparation and submission of resolution to NSNA.

To ensure the integrity and authenticity of applications, we may use various methods to detect the use of AI tools, such as plagiarism checkers, linguistic analysis, and human review and require applicants to sign a declaration stating that they have not used any AI tools in their applications and that they are solely responsible for the content and quality.

By submitting your application, you agree to abide by this policy and to submit only your own original work. If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please contact nsna@nsna.org.

  • Carefully read and complete the instructions below. Refer to Guidelines for Planning Resolutions for more information. Remember that incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Click here for Guidelines for Planning Resolutions.

To ensure that your resolution will be accepted by the Resolutions Committee, you must research the topic of your resolution. Past resolutions can be found on the NSNA website www.nsna.org.

If you find a similar topic that is current NSNA policy since 2021, it is highly recommended that you consult with the Resolutions Committee Chair before writing the resolution to confirm that your position on the topic is different from NSNA's current position. In some cases, the Resolutions Committee Chair will advise that reconsidering the issue is justified (i.e., new information about the topic has been documented).
